About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Take end-to-end ownership of infrastructure scalability, performance, and reliability across a fast-growing, high-volume system
Build and lead a new infrastructure team, hiring and mentoring engineers as the team grows
Design and evolve core infrastructure, including databases, messaging systems, and surrounding services
Analyze architecture, Aurora, OpenSearch, Redis, and system design to identify and resolve scale and performance bottlenecks
Work hands-on with Kafka, RabbitMQ, and database infrastructure to support increasing load
Consolidate infrastructure work under one team and establish clear structure and ownership
Drive infrastructure solutions independently without constant guidance
Partner with engineering teams across the company while owning infrastructure decisions

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of hands-on software development / architecture experience
At least 2 years as a team lead/tech lead
Proven, demonstrable track record of driving significant performance improvements with measurable gains in efficiency, latency, or system load
Strong understanding of databases, scalability challenges, and system architecture
Experience across more than one company/environment
A degree in any field from any institution
Independent, self-driven working style
Experience with Java is a big plus
