About the role
- You'll be obsessed with understanding the world around you. You'll spend time in our UpCenters watching mechanics refurbish bikes. You'll visit bike shops and talk to merchants. You'll interview customers who've never bought an e-bike before. You won't delegate this, because you *have* to understand the problem at a deep, intuitive level.
- You'll build bold, creative visions for your product area. Not incremental improvements, but transformative ideas that change the game. You'll think 3+ years out and work backward to define what we should build now. You'll use intuition, judgment, and data to build strong convictions, and you'll rally engineers, designers, and stakeholders behind your vision.
- You'll make hard calls with incomplete information. You won't wait for perfect data or consensus. You'll make the right bets, move fast, and iterate based on what you learn. You'll own outcomes, not outputs.
- You'll work with software engineers to build it. You'll collaborate closely with our engineering team to turn your vision into reality.
Requirements
- Experience. Typically 5+ years in Product Management roles. You’ve ideally experienced early-stage startups, 0→1 product development, or high-growth scale-up environments. We welcome early PMs / Designers / Engineers who led product direction, or staff / principal PMs.
- Entrepreneurial thinker. You're insatiably curious and have a bias for action. If understanding something requires traveling to Berlin tomorrow to meet mechanics, you book the ticket. You've built products in ambiguous environments where no one told you what to do. You don't shrink your ideas because of constraints, and think big by default.
- Vision and judgement. You build strong convictions based on intuition and data, not just linear logic. You have a track record of making big bets that paid off.
- Analytical. You think in KPIs and know your targets, use data to validate intuition (not hide behind it), and are comfortable with SQL or motivated to learn quickly.
- International experience. You've built products for multiple markets or scaled internationally, you're excited to work with teams across many countries. French is not required.
Benefits
- - **We're building an international team in Paris.** Product & Tech is headquartered in Paris, but we're assembling a global team of builders. We sponsor visas and offer relocation support. You'll work with talented people from around the world who've chosen to be here because they believe in the mission.
- - **We think long-term, but ship fast.** We use Shape Up to stay focused on what matters. You'll have autonomy to shape your product area, but you'll move with urgency.
- - **You'll own a vertical, not a feature.** We're hiring PMs to lead major verticals. You won't be scoped to a narrow slice, but instead own outcomes for an entire domain.
- - **You'll work on a product that matters.** E-bikes are the future of urban mobility. You'll help millions of people access affordable, sustainable transportation.
