Senior Director of Research – Evaluation

• Develop and execute a comprehensive stewardship & donor experience strategy across all giving levels: individual, mid-level, major, and legacy donors.
• Partnering with the Director of Institutional Giving to ensure a streamlined and connected strategy across portfolios.
• Ensure every donor receives timely, personalized, meaningful acknowledgement and recognition; design recognition tiers, giving societies, and donor journeys.
• Build and manage systems, processes, and workflows (in collaboration with CRM/data teams) that support efficient donor tracking, segmentation, and moves-management.
• Collaborate with Communications and Program teams to craft impact-driven content, personalized updates, and meaningful engagement opportunities (events, site visits, virtual briefings).
• Partner with frontline fundraisers and leadership to ensure stewardship is integrated into solicitation, upgrade, renewal, and legacy giving pipelines.
• Lead donor satisfaction measurement, feedback loops, and continuous improvement of donor experience based on analytics and best practices.
• Manage and mentor a small team (or work closely with team members) responsible for donor relations, recognition programs, and stewardship operations.
• Oversee budget and metrics related to stewardship programming: donor retention, upgrade rates, satisfaction scores, cost-per-donor, lifetime value.
• Serve as an ambassador for Upwardly Global with select donors and prospects, representing the organization at events and in donor-facing meetings as needed.

Director of Stewardship – Donor Experience

• Lead the major gifts and individual giving program, overseeing strategy, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors at the $10K+ level.
• Manage a personal portfolio of high-net-worth donors and prospects, cultivating deep relationships and securing six- and seven-figure gifts.
• Develop and execute a multi-year growth plan for major gifts in partnership with the Chief Development Officer and CEO.
• Partner with the Development Operations team to ensure the donor pipeline, Salesforce systems, and reporting processes effectively support relationship management.
• Supervise and mentor a team of gift officers and donor engagement staff, fostering a collaborative, results-oriented culture.
• Partner closely with Finance, Communications, and Program teams to align fundraising priorities and impact storytelling.
• Collaborate with Upwardly Global’s leadership and Board to identify and engage new networks of philanthropic supporters.
• Design and oversee a robust donor stewardship and recognition strategy that deepens engagement and demonstrates impact.
• Plan and participate in donor events, briefings, and campaigns that advance major gift relationships.
• Represent Upwardly Global externally with authenticity, passion, and a clear articulation of our mission and results.

Senior Director – Vice President of Major Gifts

• Research and qualify potential annual and mid-level donors through qualitative and quantitative data
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual donors, inclusive of National Leadership Council members, and secondary connections of current and past Board members
• Partner with the Communications Team to create personalized communication plans, including regular updates, impact reports, and invitations to events, to keep donors informed and engaged
• Collaborate with the Development Associate to collate and interpret quantitative data to inform strategies
• Oversee the design, launch, and management of direct mail appeals, email campaigns, digital/social giving campaigns, crowdfunding, and recurring giving programs
• Manage segmented donor communications, A/B testing, optimization, segmentation, and welcomes/thank-you journey
• Ensure timely and meaningful acknowledgment, recognition, and upgrade opportunities for individual donors
• Own revenue and budget targets for individual giving segments (e.g., $X million of the total)

Director of Individual, Annual Giving

Designer

• Design and develop learning solutions in collaboration with the Content and Learning team and external vendor
• Partner with key stakeholders to define goals, objectives, and expected outcomes of learning experiences
• Collaborate with subject matter experts on rapid review and iteration cycles of materials
• Draft and iterate on tools to track the outcomes of learning experiences (assessments, quizzes, rubrics)
• Communicate to internal departments on completion status and status reports on goals and funder deliverables
• Create instructional materials (eLearning courses, videos/audio, reference guides, instructor-led decks, templates)
• Collaborate with vendors on larger scale projects and mediate with internal subject matter experts
• Evaluate, select, pilot and monitor solutions for automation of instructional practice and assessment evaluation
• Develop and implement instructional resources tweaks and updates in continuous improvement cycles
• Provide technical support for team members involved in delivery of content through live training or technology mediated learning
• Contribute to reference archive and documentation on instructional resources development

Instructional Designer

Digital Marketing

• Oversee digital marketing strategy to maximize audience engagement and action across social media, email marketing, website content (including SEO and landing pages), and paid ad campaigns for job seeker recruitment, fundraising and brand awareness
• Develop and maintain content strategy ensuring brand consistency in partnership with Director of Communications
• Develop and implement digital campaigns, including influencer and UGC content strategies
• Drive creative, multichannel storytelling, managing and commissioning graphic design, photography and video content
• Evaluate and adapt channels as organizational needs and digital trends evolve
• Co-lead development and use of audience personas; write, edit and commission creative content including ad copy, website content, blog posts and emails
• Manage development of social media toolkits for external partners and develop co-marketing campaigns with corporate/institutional partners
• Champion staff-generated UGC to promote brand and expertise; work with products team to market products and services
• Oversee content development, maintain content calendar, and manage relationship with external digital marketing agency
• Supervise and mentor a team of two staff and external consultants; collaborate with other departments to meet organizational goals
• Track and analyze marketing metrics with the Director of Communications to measure effectiveness and improve strategies
• Reports to President of Upglo (Upwardly Global) and collaborates closely with Director of Communications
