Shift Maintenance Engineer
UPSShift Maintenance Engineer troubleshooting and maintaining plant floor devices and ensuring optimal performance. Performing preventive and corrective maintenance with focus on mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring safety standards are met.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Troubleshoot, calibrate, and adjust plant floor devices to maintain optimal performance
- Attend sorts calls and breakdowns and expedite their completion
- Assist in solving daily problems for conveyors or physical facility maintenance
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems
- Diagnose faults and repair breakdowns in sortation system, facility and automation systems
- Ensure minimal downtime by responding quickly to emergencies
- Install, inspect, and troubleshoot electrical circuits, motors, and control panels
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure proper use of PPE
- Work alongside operations and management teams to ensure smooth operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Programming experience including troubleshooting
- Basic understanding of networks
- Motor control theory and operation
- Equipment maintenance experience including mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics and welding
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and elementary diagrams
- Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Qualification to a minimum standard of level 3
