About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- This position will service the territories of North Shore, Northeast MA, and Southern NH.
- The International Account Executive is responsible for driving new business acquisition and expanding UPS’s international services through strategic prospecting, relationship building, and solution-based selling.
- This role collaborates with Account Executives (AEs), Customer Solutions, and other internal teams to develop account strategies, analyze market trends, and position UPS solutions competitively.
- The position requires strong business acumen, logistics expertise, and the ability to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs while ensuring compliance with international regulations.
- Identify and research potential clients through various channels, including artificial intelligence.
- Generate new leads via cold calling, networking, and outreach methods.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to leverage inbound leads and campaigns.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed targets.
- Research existing UPS account history to prioritize top targets.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities.
- Define and document account strategies; evaluate key financial indicators to establish objectives.
- Conduct compelling presentations to showcase UPS solutions and value propositions.
- Communicate product features, benefits, and design tailored to customer requirements.
- Analyze price quotes for accuracy and position solutions effectively.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with potential clients to secure new business.
- Obtain signatures for contracts and compliance documents (e.g., Power of Attorney, USMCA, 232 documentation).
- Close deals efficiently while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
- Proven track record in B2B sales and new business acquisition.
- Strong understanding of logistics and international shipping processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrates broad understanding of business requirements and problem-solving.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel.
- Applicants must be located in the same geographic area as the position or be willing to self-relocate (no relocation assistance provided).
