About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of ELT/ETL data pipelines.
Contribute to data platform infrastructure on AWS, including observability and cost optimisation.
Help maintain and improve CI/CD practices across the data platform.
Assist with performance tuning and scalability work on Snowflake and pipeline tooling.
Build Proofs of Concept with new data engineering tools and patterns.
Explore how generative AI tools (Claude, Agents, MCPs) can extend and automate data platform capabilities.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Ongoing academic studies or degree, preferred in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Foundational knowledge of software development, preferably with experience in Python.
Proficient in Git and basic software engineering practices (testing, code review, debugging).
Basic experience with SQL.
Basic experience with GenAI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or others).
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
High attention to detail.
Solid communication skills, both oral and written.
Fluent written and oral English skills.
