About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of ELT/ETL data pipelines.
- Contribute to data platform infrastructure on AWS, including observability and cost optimisation.
- Help maintain and improve CI/CD practices across the data platform.
- Assist with performance tuning and scalability work on Snowflake and pipeline tooling.
- Build Proofs of Concept with new data engineering tools and patterns.
- Explore how generative AI tools (Claude, Agents, MCPs) can extend and automate data platform capabilities.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ongoing academic studies or degree, preferred in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Foundational knowledge of software development, preferably with experience in Python.
- Proficient in Git and basic software engineering practices (testing, code review, debugging).
- Basic experience with SQL.
- Basic experience with GenAI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or others).
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Solid communication skills, both oral and written.
- Fluent written and oral English skills.
