About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Log, qualify and triage incoming tickets
  • Independently handle incidents within 1st-level incident management
  • Escalate more complex issues to Systems Engineers and act as the contact person to follow up on the case
  • Perform standard changes within the responsibilities of the Service Desk & Onsite Support team
  • Maintain and manage user and computer accounts, access rights and applications
  • Inform users of progress by phone and email
  • Provide on-site support days and handle short-notice ad-hoc assignments at customer sites
  • Serve as the first point of contact in the Service Desk in a shift schedule, Monday to Friday, 07:00–18:00

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed apprenticeship as an IT specialist (Informatiker EFZ) or equivalent professional experience as a career changer
  • Professional experience as a Supporter, Support Engineer or Operations Engineer in 1st- and 2nd-level support, ideally at an IT service provider
  • Broad IT knowledge, especially in the Microsoft systems environment
  • Confident working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office products, Microsoft 365 and standard software
  • Experience with Windows Server and its roles/features, Active Directory, Exchange Server, Citrix and networking
  • Native German speaker
  • Good English skills
  • Enjoy direct customer contact and have a strong service-oriented mindset
  • High resilience and flexibility
  • Strong self-organization skills
  • Sense of responsibility and reliability
  • Category B driver's license required
