About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Log, qualify and triage incoming tickets
- Independently handle incidents within 1st-level incident management
- Escalate more complex issues to Systems Engineers and act as the contact person to follow up on the case
- Perform standard changes within the responsibilities of the Service Desk & Onsite Support team
- Maintain and manage user and computer accounts, access rights and applications
- Inform users of progress by phone and email
- Provide on-site support days and handle short-notice ad-hoc assignments at customer sites
- Serve as the first point of contact in the Service Desk in a shift schedule, Monday to Friday, 07:00–18:00
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed apprenticeship as an IT specialist (Informatiker EFZ) or equivalent professional experience as a career changer
- Professional experience as a Supporter, Support Engineer or Operations Engineer in 1st- and 2nd-level support, ideally at an IT service provider
- Broad IT knowledge, especially in the Microsoft systems environment
- Confident working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office products, Microsoft 365 and standard software
- Experience with Windows Server and its roles/features, Active Directory, Exchange Server, Citrix and networking
- Native German speaker
- Good English skills
- Enjoy direct customer contact and have a strong service-oriented mindset
- High resilience and flexibility
- Strong self-organization skills
- Sense of responsibility and reliability
- Category B driver's license required
