About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using React and TypeScript.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Work across multiple frontend projects with shared patterns and conventions.
- Optimize and refactor existing code for improved performance and maintainability.
- Translate design mockups and wireframes into high-quality, pixel-accurate user interfaces.
- Implement responsive layouts that work across different devices and screen sizes.
- Collaborate with designers and product managers to ensure a consistent user experience.
- Manage complex application state and integrate with RESTful backend APIs.
- Handle authentication flows, error handling, and data caching on the frontend.
- Collaborate with backend developers to define API contracts and ensure smooth integration.
- Write unit and component tests to ensure the reliability and stability of frontend components.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to identify and fix bugs and improve overall system performance.
- Create and maintain documentation for frontend systems and shared components.
- Document code and solutions for future reference and ease of collaboration.
- Work closely with backend developers, designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure timely delivery.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share best practices.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of proven hands-on frontend development experience with React
- Strong knowledge of TypeScript in a React context
- Experience with state management solutions
- Experience with component libraries (Material-UI or similar)
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles
- Experience with client-side routing (React Router or similar)
- Comfortable using Git for version control
- Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Experience with Tailwind CSS and utility-first styling approaches (Desired, but not mandatory)
- Experience with testing frameworks (Vitest, Jest, React Testing Library, MSW) (Desired, but not mandatory)
- Familiarity with build tools (Vite, Webpack) (Desired, but not mandatory)
- Experience with internationalization (i18next or similar) (Desired, but not mandatory)
- Familiarity with error monitoring tools (Sentry) (Desired, but not mandatory)
- Experience with Docker and containerized development workflows (Desired, but not mandatory)
- Knowledge of backend technologies (Python, REST APIs) (Desired, but not mandatory)
- Background in fintech, payments, or regulated industries (Desired, but not mandatory)
