About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create a positive and engaging work environment by mentoring, coaching, and motivating International Account Management team members when applicable.
- Maintain a book of key West Coast fine art clients personally and oversee international shipments. This includes estimates, work orders, tracking spend and progress, coordinating and/or producing international shipping documents, coordinating with vendors and UOVO Account Managers, liaising with clients, and providing post-project reconciliations as needed.
- Partnering with West Coast Account Managers on their clients’ international shipments. Partnering with Central and East Coast Account Managers as needed.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of quality West Coast vendor relationships.
- Identify areas of growth for UOVO’s International Shipping operation, and make recommendations towards its development.
- In conjunction with the Head of International Shipping and other key stakeholders, research and implement growth initiatives, including but not limited to the expansion of UOVO’s planeside program.
- Establish and track KPIs for West Coast International Shipping business and onsite airport operations.
- Train planeside team members and oversee the quality of services provided at airports.
- File and maintain airport cargo area access permits.
- Develop and maintain an on-airport contact list and quality vendor relationships.
- Assist Head of International Shipping with operational issues including customer satisfaction, completion of estimates, projects, and any departmental needs.
- Assist in the development and implementation of departmental SOPs.
- Anticipate the needs of clients and seek out information to meet their demands.
- Interface with government agencies as applicable including but not limited to Customs, BIS, TSA, USDA, FDA, USFWS, ATF, OFAC and DOT.
- Provide on-site support and client interface whenever appropriate.
- Foster the growth of client relationships to encourage the retention, growth, and referrals of existing clients.
- Other projects as assigned by Manager.

Requirements
What you’ll need- Superior leadership skills, with a focus on employee coaching and development
- Proven project management skills and art services / logistics experience
- Experience with the import and export process
- Familiarity with TSA procedures
- Familiarity with CBP (U.S. Customs and Border Protection) policies and regulations
- Poise in a fast-paced business environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Pro-active and solution oriented with the ability to think creatively
