About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist the medical team in providing quality care to all patients.
  • Perform patient triage, vital signs, patient history, EKG, injections, and using the electronic health record.
  • Maintain patient information in electronic health record (EHR).
  • Ensure all appropriate patient information is scanned into EHR.
  • Assist physician in exam room as needed.
  • Schedule surgeries/tests or hospital admissions as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and HIPAA requirements.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent (required)
  • Medical Assisting Degree (preferred)
  • One year of medical assisting experience working in a medical facility (preferred)
  • Medical Assisting certification from a nationally recognized organization (required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (required)
