About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide technical support to actuarial staff
- Work on meaningful, challenging project assignments in areas such as pricing, valuation, modeling, experience analysis, and business analytics
- Help maintain pricing and underwriting tools and valuation systems
- Develop technical skills and data-driven problem-solving capabilities
- Present project outcomes to key business leaders at the end of summer
- Learn about departmental and corporate functions
- Attend weekly information sessions and networking opportunities with senior leaders
- Participate in social events and community service activities
- Join an Employee Network and work with the Office of Inclusion & Diversity
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently enrolled in an accredited college degree program or a Spring 2027 graduate
- Extensive coursework in math, actuarial science, statistics, economics, or finance
- GPA of 3.0 overall required
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and on-campus involvement
- At least 1 actuarial exam passed preferred
- Available to work 40 hours per week during regular business hours
- Adhere to Unum's hybrid work policy
