Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical support to actuarial staff
Work on meaningful, challenging project assignments in areas such as pricing, valuation, modeling, experience analysis, and business analytics
Help maintain pricing and underwriting tools and valuation systems
Develop technical skills and data-driven problem-solving capabilities
Present project outcomes to key business leaders at the end of summer
Learn about departmental and corporate functions
Attend weekly information sessions and networking opportunities with senior leaders
Participate in social events and community service activities
Join an Employee Network and work with the Office of Inclusion & Diversity

Requirements

What you’ll need

Currently enrolled in an accredited college degree program or a Spring 2027 graduate
Extensive coursework in math, actuarial science, statistics, economics, or finance
GPA of 3.0 overall required
Demonstrated leadership abilities and on-campus involvement
At least 1 actuarial exam passed preferred
Available to work 40 hours per week during regular business hours
Adhere to Unum's hybrid work policy
