About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage and execute projects of small to medium complexity
Support larger strategic sourcing projects
Sourcing for specific project needs, contract negotiation, and coordination
Maximize Unum’s purchasing power and reduce total costs
Work closely with business owners and subject matter experts
Execute sourcing strategies specific to defined categories
Conduct RFX events and prepare bid analysis
Collaborate with legal for contract review and approval
Analyze supplier contracts and recommend appropriate changes
Manage supplier diversity within supply base
Perform prospective supplier assessments and onboarding

Requirements

What you’ll need

3 or more years of procurement, sourcing or supply chain experience
Bachelor’s Degree in business or supply chain management preferred
Strong negotiation and contracting skills
Proven skills to develop and implement sourcing and negotiation strategies
Ability to think strategically
Ability to perform financial analysis
Project Management experience considered a plus
Advanced PC skills required (Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.)
