About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide consultative guidance on policies, performance management, and disciplinary issues.
  • Assist managers and employees in addressing performance and misconduct concerns by providing HR consultation on the performance management process, interpersonal issues, ethics matters, and terminations.
  • Exchange pertinent information and expertise with Legal, Leave and Disability, Corporate Investigations, Compliance and Security on a timely basis to facilitate the success of client and organizational needs.
  • Upskill managers on coaching techniques and equip them to have difficult conversations.
  • Conduct investigative interviews regarding performance concerns and allegations of minor types of misconduct.
  • Manage case volumes received through the ServiceNow portal.
  • Identify and escalate trends to ER leadership.
  • Support ER team members with investigations stemming from complaints and allegations related to discrimination, unfair treatment, sexual harassment, and retaliation.
  • Respond to Unemployment Insurance Hearing cases.
  • Assist ER leadership with reporting and project work as assigned.
  • Assists in the creation of training modules and educational tools on topics related to Employee Relations, including harassment, performance management, and management of time off.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Undergraduate degree required
  • 2-5 years of related HR or ER experience required
  • Basic knowledge of employment law
  • Working knowledge of FMLA/ADA, Title VII, and other federal and state employment laws.
  • Demonstrated independent judgement and discretion to know when to escalate more complex cases.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Basic PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite software
