About the role

  • Report and analyze inforce premium and persistency trends
  • Reconcile and balance accounts related to the financial area
  • Make appropriate recommendations for efficiencies
  • Maintain integrity of data in various systems
  • Analyze financial data and prepare related reports
  • Conduct special studies and lead projects
  • Produce results to solve problems with minimal support
  • Communicate issues identified and recommend resolutions
  • Maintain specialized working knowledge of Unum’s products
  • Mentor and oversee work of less experienced team members

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience
  • CPA, CMA or CFA certification preferred
  • Three to six years comparable work experience
  • Strong understanding of financial statements
  • Experience navigating change positively
  • Mastered customer service skills
  • Highly motivated individual with independent problem-solving abilities
  • Manage multiple projects with minimal guidance
  • Solid communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Intermediate to advanced EXCEL Skills
  • General ledger systems and reporting tools experience preferred
  • Experience in Tableau, Alteryx or other Finance Core Platforms is a plus
  • Experience in financial forecasting and modeling is a plus
