About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support full-cycle, high-volume recruiting focused on class-hiring within Customer Operations
- Collaborate with stakeholders to execute end-to-end recruitment for assigned requisitions
- Determine job requirements, screen candidates, forecast hiring needs, source candidates, and manage recruiting and selection processes
- Promote Unum as a Talent Advisor and Brand Ambassador through outreach initiatives and events
- Execute sourcing and recruitment strategies for exempt and high-volume non-exempt openings
- Build relationships with business management, faculty, academic administration, student organizations, vendors, and community resources
- Conduct structured interviews and assessments
- Attract diverse talent through networking and proactive candidate sourcing
- Consult and educate managers and selection teams on recruiting and selection topics
- Plan and execute on-campus recruitment efforts, information sessions, and career fairs
- Meet recruiting goals and high-performance standards
- Promote the employee referral bonus program
- Monitor industry trends and develop alternative recruiting strategies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate degree required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of successful recruitment and selection experience required
- Knowledge of all full-cycle recruiting components
- Ability to manage high-volume recruitment
- Insurance industry experience and HR certifications preferred
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- Strong negotiation, decision-making, and persuasion skills
- Rapport-building and interpersonal networking skills
- Ability to manage competing demands and accept criticism and constructive feedback
- Extremely adaptable and flexible
- Ability to work in a metric-driven environment
- Understanding of the job market and ability to address challenges with alternate recruiting strategies
- Ability to gain the attention and respect of hiring managers
- Demonstrated ability to function/recruit on a national/international, multi-location level
