About the role
- You ensure the operational readiness of our entire fleet, monitor all statutory inspection and maintenance schedules, and are responsible for the economical management of all maintenance activities.
- With a clear focus on quality, you coordinate internal and external service providers, develop performance and service specifications, and place repair orders taking costs, time, and efficiency into account.
- You ensure compliance with legal requirements concerning driving personnel, prepare briefings and necessary measures in case of deviations, and document these in accordance with regulations.
- By professionally using modern IT and telematics systems, you manage the fleet based on data, analyze key performance indicators, initiate corrective actions, and develop driving personnel through targeted training.
- You lead your team both technically and disciplinarily, promote development and collaboration, and together with your employees ensure smooth and efficient fleet operations.
Requirements
- You have completed vocational training and bring solid experience in the forwarding or logistics industry as well as in fleet management.
- With several years of professional experience (at least 5 years) and management experience (2–5 years), you confidently lead teams, communicate clearly, and make responsible decisions.
- You have solid knowledge of vehicle technology and act cost-consciously when awarding and overseeing repair and maintenance work.
- Your strong organizational skills, assertiveness, and resilience enable you to maintain an overview in dynamic situations and act in a solution-oriented manner.
- A Class CE driving licence is advantageous, as is experience with telematics systems and deriving improvement measures for drivers and processes.
