About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the CUP.digital team: content management, user experience, and process facilitation
- Lead user research studies (user interviews, stakeholder interviews, usability tests)
- Own the methodology and translate findings into product development
- Gather and specify requirements for usability and accessibility (user stories, acceptance criteria)
- Create UX artifacts such as personas and user journeys
- Responsible for designing complete applications (wireframes, mockups, prototypes)
- Maintain the design system for u:space and for cross-university software
- Ensure compliance with accessibility requirements (testing including screen reader testing)
Requirements
What you’ll need- University degree or relevant training and several years of professional experience in usability, user research, and UX design for desktop and mobile applications
- Experience leading UX processes and advising stakeholders
- Hands-on experience conducting user interviews and usability tests
- Experience and enthusiasm for facilitating workshops
- Knowledge and experience in digital accessibility
- Excellent skills in Figma or comparable design tools and in creating design systems
- Very good German and English language skills
- Willingness to travel for work within Austria (approx. 1–2 times/month)
