About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Direct day-to-day execution of the Salesforce CRM implementation across eleven participating USM institutions
- Develop and manage the integrated project plan, implementation roadmap, and communications strategy
- Monitor project health, progress, risks, issues, dependencies, resources, budget, and quality
- Prepare status, financial, and performance reports for the Executive Director and governance bodies
- Lead operational and tactical decision-making and escalate strategic or cross-institutional issues
- Oversee implementation vendors, consultants, and external partners, including contractual deliverables and work products
- Coordinate campus stakeholders, functional leads, technical teams, and implementation partners
- Serve as primary operational liaison among member institutions, the USM Office of Advancement, partners, and project teams
- Facilitate cross-institutional working groups and decision-making forums
- Lead change management, communications, training, user adoption, and readiness initiatives
- Manage the integrated risk and issue management framework, project expenditures, forecasts, and resource allocation
- Establish and improve PMO standards, methodologies, tools, reporting structures, and governance processes
- Support Steering Group meetings, sponsor briefings, and stakeholder forums
- Establish shared-instance Salesforce design, solution, configuration, release, and change-control governance
- Lead data governance covering ownership, security, access, quality, master data management, and deduplication
- Coordinate user acceptance testing, training validation, and deployment readiness
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; additional qualifying experience may substitute for education year-for-year for up to four years
- Seven years of progressively responsible project and/or program management experience
- Leadership of at least one enterprise CRM or major system implementation
- Experience leading multi-stakeholder programs and building consensus across organizational or institutional boundaries
- Experience with change management, stakeholder engagement, and executive communication
- Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM and enterprise data governance principles
- Knowledge of advancement and fundraising technology platforms, including Salesforce Education Cloud, Nonprofit Cloud, or comparable CRM solutions
- Project and program management skills, including planning, scheduling, budget oversight, risk mitigation, dependency management, and performance reporting
- Change management, stakeholder engagement, user adoption, and training strategy skills
- Ability to build consensus and facilitate decision-making among diverse stakeholders
- Ability to establish data governance standards covering ownership, security, access controls, data quality, master data management, and configuration governance
- Ability to translate complex technical and business information into executive recommendations, reports, and presentations
- Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, facilitation, and meeting management skills
- Sound judgment, diplomacy, and political awareness in cross-institutional relationships and conflict resolution
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and stewardship of sensitive donor, alumni, institutional, and program data
