About the role
- .50 FTE administrative leadership of the MSW Program, including student recruitment, admission, and advisement.
- Curriculum leadership and curriculum development for the MSW program.
- Teach a range of MSW classes across curricula, including online evening classes via Zoom and five intensive in-person weekend sessions per semester.
- Engage in teaching, research/scholarship, profession-related community engagement, and service to the Division, University, and profession.
- Be regularly available on campus in Laramie, Wyoming, and teach in person during scheduled intensive weekend sessions each semester.
- Travel within the state, primarily to the UW-Casper campus, and teach using distance delivery systems.
- Teach during evenings, weekdays, and scheduled intensive weekends as assigned.
- Participate in university and community service and program administration tasks.
Requirements
- Earned Ph.D. in social work or a closely related field.
- MSW from a CSWE-accredited program.
- Two years of post-MSW practice experience.
- Evidence of leadership experiences.
- Strong record of research to warrant appointment at the associate rank.
- Record of teaching in a social work program.
- Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) that is compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy.
- Ability and willingness to teach during evening classes and scheduled intensive weekend sessions.
- Distance teaching and course development experience.
- Experience working in rural settings.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States; sponsorship for H-1B work authorization or work visa is not available for this position.
