About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the university’s compliance with equal opportunity and civil rights policies
- Conduct neutral, thorough, and prompt investigations into complaints of discrimination
- Craft detailed investigative reports
- Provide a caring response to initial reports of discrimination
- Consult with other University offices in the resolution of complaints
- Serve on UWM's Title IX Working Group
Requirements
What you’ll need- One or more years of professional experience conducting investigations in student conduct, criminal justice law, police, or private investigations
- Proven ability to present verbal and written information clearly
- Juris doctor (JD) or advanced degree in Student Affairs, Criminal Justice, or related field preferred
- Completion of civil rights and/or Title IX investigator training
- Working knowledge of laws related to Title IX and gender discrimination
