About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in managing financial activities across SEMSS departments
- Serve as the Lead Worker for SEMSS financial staff and department clients
- Coordinate data management, budget preparation, and financial reporting
- Serve as subject matter expert on financial operations and recommend process improvements
- Evaluate funding strategies and make recommendations for enhancement
- Audit financial transactions and authorize payments
- Ensure compliance with fiscal policies and procedures
- Prepare monthly reports and financial statements
- Support procurement and travel processes
- Provide troubleshooting and support for financial systems
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; or commensurate experience
- At least three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in financial management, budgeting, or accounting
- Experience in financial reporting and data analysis
- Demonstrated understanding of budget preparation and management
- Demonstrated proficiency in financial software and systems (e.g., MS Excel, Workday, PowerBI, Tableau)
