About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Join the College of Letters & Science (L&S) for an exciting new role as a Divisional Research Admin Manager
  • Support the research admin needs of the units being served by leading the ART 1 RA Team
  • Collaborate with faculty researchers, dept and center admins, other ART managers and staff
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate team members, as well as assign them work and grant and budget worktag roles
  • Serve as a Workday subject matter expert and a key point of contact for departments and division administrators
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Dean for Research Services and Associate Dean for Innovation and Strategic Budgeting to plan training, communication, and documentation of L&S Workday procedures and policy
  • Assist in assessing and improving our ART structure, policies, and services to best meet the needs of L&S departments and centers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • One year research admin experience, preferably in higher education
  • Experience supervising and training employees
  • Ability to use strong analytical skills to accurately interpret and analyze financial data and effectively communicate summarized results
  • Ability to foster and maintain collaborative effective relationships with chairs/directors, supervisors, staff and campus partners
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence and a history of offering collaborative, responsive, and solution-oriented assistance
  • Ability to use sound judgement and discretion in applying and interpreting laws, rules, policies, and procedures
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills, including identifying and solving problems both independently and collaboratively, prioritizing and delegating tasks, managing competing deadlines, and paying attention to detail
