About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the payroll compensation compliance reporting process at UW-Madison
- Ensure commitments to sponsors were met
- Ensure that grants were not overcharged
- Ensure completion of provisions of certification and training in accordance with UW-Madison compensation compliance policy and procedures
- Work closely with campus constituents and external partners
- Develop, implement, and evaluate policies and procedures related to compliance with regulations
- Support UW-Madison's technical system needs related to effort management
- Serve as a key resource to campus regarding research administration compliance areas
Requirements
What you’ll need- Five years of experience in Research Administration
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and implement Federal, State, and University policies and procedures
- Ability to analyze and interpret University accounting systems operations and data
- Excellent communication, planning, problem-solving, project management, and customer service skills
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships throughout the organization
- Ability to clearly communicate complex situations and ideas through written communication and oral presentation
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement effective business solutions
- Bachelor's Degree is required
