Research Specialist
University of Wisconsin-MadisonResearch Specialist supporting NIH-funded projects at the University of Wisconsin-Madison's CHDR. Contributing to research on social determinants of health in Alzheimer's Disease with a focus on dysphagia.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the research and work by managing data, recruiting and scheduling participants, analyzing data, and contributing to community outreach and education.
- Work independently and as part of a group on both projects simultaneously.
- Perform literature reviews and write reports.
- Review, analyze, and interpret data and/or documents results for presentations and/or reporting.
- Conduct research experiments according to established research protocols.
- Collect data and monitor test results.
- Participate in the development, interpretation, and implementation of research methodology and materials.
- Operate, clean, and maintain organization of research equipment and research area.
- Track inventory levels and place replenishment orders.
- Provide operational guidance on day-to-day activities of unit or program staff and/or student workers.
- Engage with community groups to support research outreach, recruitment, and strengthen community partnerships.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum one year of experience in epidemiology, health services, or related research field.
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in research design, research methods, statistical analyses, and presentation of results.
- Experience communicating with a variety of audiences, collaborators, partners, and academic fields.
- Experience with research study recruitment and registry maintenance.
- Experience helping research participants connect with meaningful supports and resources.
- Demonstrated experience with populations with dementia.
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
