About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinating schedule for program and events calendars
- Acting as first point of contact for CRIS enquiries, creating intake records and coordinating with the appropriate colleagues to address the requests
- Analyzing needs and making recommendations on logistics and options
- Determining logistical details and activities for events and/or programming
- Coordinating the preparation and distribution of promotional/outreach material
- Maintaining information on digital platforms including websites, and e-communication tools
- Editing content for brochures, newsletters, websites and/or handbooks
- Providing orientation to others on work procedures and practices including event registration, and room and equipment booking procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum three (3) years’ relevant experience in planning, coordinating and executing logistics for small to large-scale programs and events
- Demonstrated experience in meeting multiple and concurrent deadlines and working in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to maintain information on digital platforms, including websites, e-newsletters, listservs and databases
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Bookings) and e-mail software applications; proven ability to learn new systems and tools quickly.
- Strong proficiency in virtual collaboration platforms, such as MS Teams, Zoom, SharePoint
- Strong skills with website tools including WordPress or equivalent; and e-communication apps including Mailchimp or equivalent
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills with the ability to interact with a wide variety of stakeholders including faculty and senior leaders in a tactful, polite, professional and diplomatic way
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written); in order to prepare agendas, meeting materials and presentations and draft content for promotional materials
- Demonstrated excellent organizational skills to independently prioritize own workflow and time management skills to handle multiple deadlines and events occurring within short and overlapping time periods.
