About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The Database Analyst analyzes data from various databases and develops scheduling and utilization reports.
- The incumbent also creates relevant reporting tools, such as dashboards and balanced scorecards.
- Performs a variety of data analytics to support the needs, goals, and objectives of the institution.
- Formulates term-specific, ad hoc, and trending reports.
- Develops and models inventory and supply and demand analysis.
- Analyzes information in reports to support the department’s planning needs, goals, and objectives.
- Develops groupings of statistical reports.
- Collaborates with staff and web-development team to develop and implement improved reporting tools.
- Provides feedback to and works cooperatively with scheduling software vendors.
- Designs, develops, and maintains a dashboard of key information and balanced scorecards.
- Develops procedures for input to the database by analyzing variables and optimizing algorithms to maximize utilization in assigned area.
- Participates in the organization and presentation of information systems to demonstrate best practices.
- Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate degree in relevant field required
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required
- Learning Agility: Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.
