About the role
- Oversee administrative and financial aspects of the Sponsored Programs division
- Review all material budget variances and develop plans of corrective action
- Prepare monthly variance reports for management
- Manage portfolios for private and government grants
- Develop and maintain grant allocation systems
- Formulate comparative analyses of operating programs costs
- Approve all disbursement requests for accuracy
- Establish and assess internal controls compliance with policies
- Train employees on controls within the function
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of business and management principles
- Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations
- Ability to establish department goals, and objectives that support the strategic plan
- Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others
- Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others
- Proficient knowledge of Excel and MS Office Suite (Word, Access, PowerPoint, Power BI)
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills
