About the role

  • Oversee administrative and financial aspects of the Sponsored Programs division
  • Review all material budget variances and develop plans of corrective action
  • Prepare monthly variance reports for management
  • Manage portfolios for private and government grants
  • Develop and maintain grant allocation systems
  • Formulate comparative analyses of operating programs costs
  • Approve all disbursement requests for accuracy
  • Establish and assess internal controls compliance with policies
  • Train employees on controls within the function

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of business and management principles
  • Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations
  • Ability to establish department goals, and objectives that support the strategic plan
  • Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others
  • Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others
  • Proficient knowledge of Excel and MS Office Suite (Word, Access, PowerPoint, Power BI)
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills
