About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provides short-term counseling, assessment, and referrals for clients of the EAP
- Conducts supervisor information and training sessions
- Consults with supervisors, managers, and HR staff
- Serves as a lead worker to other EAP Counselors
- Develops individualized care plans for patients based on needs assessments
- Provides support to patients to assist them in dealing with social, emotional, financial, and/or environmental factors
- Provides short term individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, education, and skills training
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s in social work or related field
- Excellent interpersonal and team leadership skills
- Excellent clinical skills in mental health and addictions treatment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ten or more years of experience
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) highly recommended
