About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provides short-term counseling, assessment, and referrals for clients of the EAP
  • Conducts supervisor information and training sessions
  • Consults with supervisors, managers, and HR staff
  • Serves as a lead worker to other EAP Counselors
  • Develops individualized care plans for patients based on needs assessments
  • Provides support to patients to assist them in dealing with social, emotional, financial, and/or environmental factors
  • Provides short term individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, education, and skills training

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s in social work or related field
  • Excellent interpersonal and team leadership skills
  • Excellent clinical skills in mental health and addictions treatment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ten or more years of experience
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) highly recommended
