Financial Specialist – Payroll

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Performs tasks related to the preparation of payroll journal entries
- Reconciliation of tax and benefit accounts
- Processing invoices
- Responds to customer inquiries
- Posts appropriate entries to general ledger
- Runs required reports
- Assists with the month-end close process by processing journal entries and preparing reports
- Reviews banking transactions to ensure proper posting within Great Plains accounting software
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline preferred
- One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
