About the role
- Responsible for supporting the department’s digital communications, educational media, and marketing initiatives
- Assists with recording and editing educational video content
- Drafting website content
- Supporting social media marketing and engagement efforts
- Collaborates with faculty and staff to produce clear, engaging content that supports the department’s educational and outreach initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, Business or a related field is required
- Previous internship, academic, or volunteer experience in digital media, communications, or marketing preferred
- Basic knowledge of video recording and editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, iMovie, DaVinci Resolve, or similar platforms)
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing practices
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to draft clear, concise content
- Basic understanding of website content management systems (CMS) preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
