Applications are invited for the post of Early Career Teaching Fellow in Creative Writing (Prose).
The successful candidate will contribute primarily to the teaching of our MSc in Creative Writing (fiction workshops and seminars) and Literature courses (‘e.g. Acts of Storytelling’), and the supervision of postgraduate dissertations.
They will also contribute undergraduate creative writing (prose fiction) option courses and may supervise undergraduate dissertations as required.
They will contribute to teaching related administration within the subject area.
Requirements
PhD in a relevant field, awarded by the time of application.
Masters in Creative Writing
Experience of, or demonstrable capacity for, teaching Creative Writing (Prose) in the context of a department of English literary studies.
Experience of undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching, including design of teaching materials for classes.
Experience of marking and assessment of student performance at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
Experience of undergraduate and/or postgraduate dissertation supervision.
Experience in using IT effectively for teaching and learning, as appropriate to the role.
