About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The post holder will have a leading role in managing an international team of research staff embedded within the NIHR Global Health Research Unit on Global Surgery (the GSU) to deliver international cluster-randomised clinical trials in low resource settings.
  • Provide strategic and operational management skills in the planning and execution of projects, focusing on maternal and neonatal health trials.
  • Work on an exciting new global collaborative initiative using wearable sensors and data driven research approaches to improve maternal and foetal outcomes during labour.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A degree in a relevant area
  • Substantial experience in the delivery of complex clinical trials in maternal health, including compliance with all relevant governance processes.
  • Extensive experience of delivering clinical trials in low resource settings.
  • Experience in monitoring, analysing and dissemination complex information.
  • Ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team, including international and industry partners.
