About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Undertake individual counselling with students, in-person and remotely.
Work as part of a large team helping students.
Provide guidance on therapeutic decisions influenced by the organisational context.
Work during semester time on a part-time basis (21 hours per week, 3 days per week).
Participate in a supportive multi-disciplinary service.

Requirements

What you’ll need

A professional qualification in counselling or psychotherapy with relevant post-qualifying experience.
Have Counsellor/psychotherapist accreditation with BACP (or other PSA registered body) or working towards accreditation.
Skilled in practicing brief therapy and in delivering therapy remotely (online and by telephone).
Knowledge of adolescent development and risk assessment.
Have a clear understanding of how the organisational context impacts on therapeutic decisions.
Experience of working with students in a higher education setting is desirable.
