About the role
- Conduct postdoctoral research in electrochemistry focused on technology capability enhancement for microdosing drug delivery and sensing for the MicroTex project
- Develop and apply electrochemical techniques, including work on micro/nanoelectrodes, sensing, actuation and device fabrication
- Collaborate with colleagues across the School of Chemistry, School of Engineering, Baillie Gifford Pandemic Science Hub, Heriot-Watt University, and University of Bath
- Troubleshoot experiments, prioritise research activities, and contribute to high-quality academic outputs
- Participate in project meetings, contribute to project goals, and support dissemination of results
Requirements
- A PhD and excellent skills in electrochemistry or a closely related discipline
- Expertise in relevant technologies and skills (desirable) e.g. micro/nanoelectrodes, sensing, actuation and/or device fabrication
- A track record of high-quality research in an academic context
- Capabilities in troubleshooting, research prioritisation, and collaborative working
- CV and a cover letter of no more than one page required for application
- Must evidence right to work in the UK (University may be able to sponsor international workers depending on factors)
