About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage day-to-day Patient Access outpatient operations at The Orthopedic North Little Rock and HSC Rodney Parham locations
- Monitor staff activities and daily productivity, taking action to meet performance standards
- Ensure work queue productivity, quality, and customer service expectations are met
- Educate staff and provide timely information based on workload
- Document personnel issues and promote a conducive work environment
- Assist with employee evaluations
- Supervise Access Coordinators and Patient Representatives
- Schedule, reschedule, coordinate, and cancel appointments using hospital systems
- Collect co-pays, deductibles, and patient account payments
- Promote teamwork and model Patient Family-Centered Care concepts
- Conduct team and one-on-one meetings with direct reports
- Participate in onboarding, training, and staff development
- Maintain compliance with clinic, CABC, ICE, UAMS, Joint Commission, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field plus three (3) years of registration and/or billing experience, or High School diploma/GED plus seven (7) years of registration and/or billing experience
- At least three years of registration and/or billing experience in a healthcare environment under the high-school alternative
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Well-developed decision-making skills
- Highly motivated and self-directed, able to establish plans of action
- Preferred: Advanced knowledge of Epic system and third-party payer requirements
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
