Key responsibilities & impact

Perform general cleaning of campus buildings, including offices, classrooms, auditorium, restrooms, and other assigned areas
Empty campus trash receptacles
Clean and refill paper towel, toilet paper, and soap dispensers
Clean restrooms using proper cleaning and disinfectant procedures
Clean desks, tables, chairs, countertops, marker boards, windows, and other surfaces
Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors
Operate floor scrubbers and floor-stripping equipment as needed
Notify the supervisor of needed maintenance and repairs
Work cooperatively with campus faculty, staff, and students
Perform related responsibilities as required or assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Able to effectively communicate in English orally and in writing
Able to read instructions and warning labels in English
Able to move freely from room to room and building to building
Able to stand for extended periods
Able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
Able to push, pull, reach, grasp, bend, stoop, and crawl
Must work assigned shifts; occasional weekend work may be necessary
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
Must complete required child maltreatment, criminal background, motor vehicle reports, sex offender registry, and substance abuse testing checks
Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
