About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work as part of the Service Line Leadership Triad with the Nursing Director, Medical Director, and Administrator
- Ensure strategic direction of the Cancer Service Line
- Facilitate quality, patient- and family-centered care, patient satisfaction, balanced scorecard performance, and compliance
- Provide leadership for nursing and applicable allied-discipline functions across home, community, ambulatory, and inpatient care
- Maintain a matrix reporting relationship to the Chief Nursing Officer and Service Line Director
- Ensure efficient, integrated clinical operations, including clinical research and education
- Oversee joint venture relationships within the Service Line
- Establish and enhance relationships with stakeholder groups, especially employees
- Oversee nursing staff across various departments
- Develop and implement strategic nursing goals and objectives
- Supervise and mentor nursing managers and staff
- Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines and safety protocols
- Monitor patient outcomes and implement improvements
- Lead initiatives to improve patient care and nursing practices
- Manage the nursing department budget and resource use
- Monitor staffing levels and adjust staffing as needed
- Ensure availability of nursing equipment and supplies
- Liaise between nursing staff and senior administration
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
- Maintain accreditation and certification for nursing services
- Lead recruitment, retention, and training efforts
- Implement professional development and continuing education programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- BSN required
- Actively pursuing and achieving a Master’s degree within three years
- Five years of Registered Nursing experience
- Three or more years of nursing managerial experience in a related service area
- Valid Arkansas Registered Nursing License
- National Nursing Certification required within one year of hire
- Infusion Center management experience preferred
- Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred
- National Certification preferred
- Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
