About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supports laboratory-based research by developing and implementing experimental protocols
- Conducts complex laboratory analyses
- Maintains research data systems to ensure data integrity, quality, and security
- Collaborates closely with the Principal Investigator to manage research data
- Troubleshoots project-related issues
- Analyzes and interprets research findings
- Prepares progress reports
- Stays current with emerging scientific methods and literature to support ongoing research initiatives and contribute to the advancement of research objectives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences or a related field PLUS two (2) years of experience in a related research or laboratory setting.
- Ability to independently design, conduct, and troubleshoot scientific experiments using established scientific methods.
- Ability to safely handle small laboratory animals.
- Ability to stand at a laboratory bench, arrange equipment, handle fragile laboratory apparatus, frequently walk between laboratories, and lift up to 20 pounds.
