About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Foreman and management team in coordinating daily maintenance operations within an assigned campus zone or skilled trades shop.
  • Provide frontline leadership to maintenance staff.
  • Assist with work order prioritization.
  • Monitor quality and safety.
  • Serve as acting foreman in the absence of the Foreman.
  • Drive productivity, accountability, business process alignment, and service excellence while supporting preventive maintenance and operational goals across campus.
  • Maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
  • Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
  • At least ten (10) years of experience in building maintenance, skilled trades, facilities operations, or related field
  • Leadership experience such as lead worker, crew leader, trainer, or acting supervisor
  • Experience with multiple building systems and maintenance practices
  • Experience with CMMS systems, email, and standard computer software
  • Valid driver’s license in good standings
  • Technical certificate, apprenticeship, or associate degree in a related field (preferred)
  • Trade license or certification (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.) (preferred)
  • Experience in higher education, healthcare, or institutional facilities (preferred)
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (preferred)
  • Experience supervising union or multi-trade work crews (preferred)
