About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee the educational efforts of the UAMS Regional Centers s GME office
  • Direct the development of the continued growth and knowledge of GME program directors and program coordinators related to GME, faculty development, and faculty and resident/fellow scholarly activity
  • Serve as a liaison between the GME office and its stakeholders
  • Lead education strategy for GME across Regional Centers
  • Partner with the DIO and regional program directors to align curriculum, scholarly activity, and faculty development with organizational goals and accreditation standards
  • Co-develop and co-teach curricula on research fundamentals and ethics for residents across Regional Centers
  • Train program staff, residents, and faculty to capture and track scholarly activity in New Innovations or equivalent systems
  • Create and maintain a repository of internal/external faculty development resources

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s Degree or equivalent in higher education, healthcare administration, public administration, or related field
  • Six (6) years of program coordination/management/administration experience
  • Doctoral degree (preferred)
  • Two (2) or more years of GME-specific coordination/management experience (preferred)
  • Certifications or professional involvement in TAGME (Training Administrators of Graduate Medical Education) or related bodies (preferred)
  • Experience developing/implementing curriculum; strong presentation and academic communication skills
  • Higher education experience with faculty development; familiarity with research methods (qualitative/quantitative) and scholarly activity
  • Proficiency with academic posters/presentations and experience in health care education research
