About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Performs routine and moderately complex laboratory testing on patient specimens to support the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
- Working under the supervision of laboratory leadership and in collaboration with pathologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Operates laboratory instrumentation, ensures quality control, maintains regulatory compliance, and reports accurate and timely test results.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Sciences OR an approved ASCP discipline (30 semester hours in biology and chemistry, which may be obtained within, or in addition to, the Bachelor's).
- ASCP or another accrediting agency certified or eligible (Certification must be obtained within one year of employment).
- Previous clinical laboratory experience
- ASCP certification
