About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operates and positions radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes and according to exam specifications, following established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.
  • Prepares patients for radiologic procedures by escorting patients to rooms, providing verbal instructions, and assisting patients in positioning body parts to be radiographed.
  • Explains procedures and observes patients to ensure patient care, safety and comfort during scan.
  • Serves as a back-up for clinical team members, as needed, by controlling patient flow and triaging.
  • Maintains working order of radiologic equipment including reporting equipment malfunctions and scheduling regular maintenance.
  • Reviews patient records and imports external images into the systems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of an approved Radiology program
  • Registered or eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Licensed by the State of Arkansas in Radiology Technology
  • Preferably BS Degree
  • CPR Certification
  • More than one (1) year of experience in diagnostic radiology or a related field
