About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The pharmacist I works under minimal supervision to assess, prepare, dispense, and assist in coordinating all day-to-day dispensing functions of the pharmacy in a timely and accurate manner.
- The pharmacist will use their knowledge, skills, and clinical judgment through reviewing orders to ensure safe and effective medication therapy.
- They will evaluate the appropriateness of dose, route and formulation, allergies, medication interactions, monitoring, etc.
- The pharmacist will have frequent communication with other healthcare professionals as a drug information resource and provide educational information to ensure great patient care.
- They will report adverse drug events and medication safety events.
- They will document interventions in the medical record.
- The pharmacist will work as a team member to efficiently and accurately perform day-to-day work along with any additional tasks or projects to help achieve departmental goals.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy plus 1 year of experience working as a pharmacist (or pharmacy intern) in a retail or hospital setting
- Pharmacist license through the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy or eligible for AR licensure.
- Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a Pharm D. (preferred)
- 2 years of applicable pharmacy experience (preferred)
