About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assemble supplies for surgical procedures
- Set up and maintain the sterile field
- Pass surgical instruments
- Assist in room preparation
- Coordinate care for the needs of the surgical case, the surgeon, nurses, and other team members
- Communicate effectively
- Ensure availability of appropriate instrumentation, supplies and equipment for assigned cases
- Ensure that the room has been prepared for the upcoming cases
- Clean and transport instruments according to department policy
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of an NBSTSA-accredited Surgical Technology program OR NCCT-approved Surgical Technology program OR Completed military surgical/scrub tech training OR Have two or more years of on-the-job surgical/scrub experience in an acute care facility or ambulatory surgery center
- 1 year of operating room experience (preferred)
- Scrub Tech Certification (preferred)
