About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Answers telephones and coordinates appointments in a call center environment
- Supports patient care activities
- Schedules, reschedules, coordinates, and cancels appointments
- Inputs and/or updates accurate patient information
- Answers telephone in a professional and friendly manner
- Communicates accurate and complete information
- Maintains strict confidentiality
- Deals with conflicts in a positive and professional manner using careful listening and demonstrates effective service recovery skills
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma/GED
- Three (3) years of customer service experience preferably in registration, billing, or scheduling in a healthcare environment
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology required
- Intermediate proficiency with computers (MS Office Suite preferred)
- Basic keyboard and telephone etiquette skills
- General knowledge of office machines including printers and scanners
