About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- A Medical Laboratory Scientist in Hematology performs complex laboratory testing and analysis of blood and blood-forming tissues to assist physicians in diagnosing, monitoring, and treating diseases
- This role involves examining blood samples, operating specialized laboratory equipment, interpreting test results, and ensuring accuracy and quality control in all procedures.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Sciences OR an approved ASCP discipline (30 semester hours in biology and chemistry, which may be obtained within, or in addition to, the Bachelor's)
- ASCP or another accrediting agency certified or eligible (Certification must be obtained within one year of employment)
- Previous experience in a hematology laboratory or other clinical laboratory (preferred)
- Active ASCP certification (preferred)
