About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Performs routine and complex laboratory testing in the Chemistry department to assist physicians and healthcare providers in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
  • Responsible for analyzing patient specimens, operating and maintaining laboratory instrumentation, ensuring quality control standards are met, and reporting accurate and timely test results in accordance with regulatory and organizational requirements.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Sciences OR an approved ASCP discipline (30 semester hours in biology and chemistry, which may be obtained within, or in addition to, the Bachelor's)
  • ASCP or another accrediting agency certified or eligible (Certification must be obtained within one year of employment)
  • Previous clinical laboratory experience
  • ASCP certification
