About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the chief executive and administrative leader reporting directly to the Provost
- Participate in the Chancellor’s Cabinet and oversee strategic planning, quality assurance, faculty and student recruitment, resource development, and financial management
- Provide exemplary academic, administrative, research, and fiscal leadership
- Oversee academic programs, faculty, students, support staff, facilities, budgets, fundraising efforts, and partnerships
- Provide visionary guidance to shape the future of the college
- Recruit, hire, and retain quality faculty and staff
- Promote faculty professional advancement and productivity
- Build academic excellence through innovative student recruitment strategies, curriculum development, and teaching excellence
- Manage financial and human resources efficiently
- Cultivate mentorship for junior faculty and students
- Foster and expand relationships with alumni, corporations, nonprofits, and government organizations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Earned a doctoral degree from an accredited college or university
- A scholar and leader in public health with a nationally recognized reputation
- Demonstrated potential for collaborative, credible administrative leadership
- Clear commitment to public health scholarship, education, and service
- Exceptional record of distinguished scholarly accomplishment in a field related to the mission of the college (preferred)
- Demonstrated record of administrative experience at a complex institution of higher education and/or in the public sector (preferred)
- Proven success in fundraising with a clear vision for engaging foundations, corporations, and individuals (preferred)
