About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide high-quality emergency medical care while supervising and mentoring Emergency Medicine residents
- Lead clinical decision-making, oversee resident education and patient management, ensure adherence to departmental standards
- Devote sufficient time to the educational program to fulfill supervisory and teaching responsibilities
- Administer and maintain an educational environment conducive to educating residents
- Regularly participate in organized clinical discussions, case reviews, simulation training, rounds, journal clubs, and conferences
- Pursue faculty development to enhance skills at least annually
Requirements
What you’ll need- MD or DO degree from accredited medical school
- Board certified in emergency medicine
- DEA registration and current ACLS, and PALS certifications (as required by institution)
- Previous academic or resident supervision experience is preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and teaching skills
