About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide high-quality emergency medical care while supervising and mentoring Emergency Medicine residents
  • Lead clinical decision-making, oversee resident education and patient management, ensure adherence to departmental standards
  • Devote sufficient time to the educational program to fulfill supervisory and teaching responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain an educational environment conducive to educating residents
  • Regularly participate in organized clinical discussions, case reviews, simulation training, rounds, journal clubs, and conferences
  • Pursue faculty development to enhance skills at least annually

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • MD or DO degree from accredited medical school
  • Board certified in emergency medicine
  • DEA registration and current ACLS, and PALS certifications (as required by institution)
  • Previous academic or resident supervision experience is preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and teaching skills
