Assistant Professor

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Teaching and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows
- Working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Providing excellent clinical care, including evidence-based psychiatric diagnostic assessment and treatment
- Completing medical records according to professional standards and in a timely manner using the UAMS EMR system
- Performing additional duties to the College, University, and profession as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- M.D. or equivalent degree required
- American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) certified or eligible for certification in Psychiatry, with the expectation of becoming certified as per the UAMS bylaws
- Eligibility for and subsequent success in obtaining an unrestricted Arkansas medical license, malpractice insurance, and credentialing by central Arkansas teaching hospitals are required.
- Successful candidates will be excellent clinicians as well as outstanding teachers or researchers, able to work collaboratively, and enjoy being part of a team that is accomplishing more than any individual can accomplish.
